Carie Brown began her career in family child care so she could be home with her own children, and quickly discovered a deep passion for working with young children and their families. Her leadership journey grew while serving as a Family Advocate with Head Start, where she was promoted to Site Administrator and realized how much she loved supporting programs, staff, and families. Carie has worked as a family childcare provider, assistant teacher, lead teacher, and advocate—experiences that give her a well-rounded understanding of early childhood education. She holds a BS in Human Services Management and more than 600 hours of Early Childhood Education training.
At Little Sprouts, Carie is committed to creating an environment where children feel loved, encouraged, and supported as they build trust with the adults in their lives. She builds strong family partnerships by being present—greeting parents at drop-off and pick-up, spending time in classrooms, and truly listening. Carie loves the warm, welcoming atmosphere of Little Sprouts, especially the beautiful play areas and large indoor gym. She leads her team with a “no drama” mindset, lifting staff up to reach their potential while fostering a culture rooted in integrity, her favorite core value.
Carie finds joy in watching children grow, learn, and experience the world—especially during small-group activities and those sweet baby snuggles. Outside of work, she enjoys concerts, traveling, and spending time with her family. As a mom to five boys and a proud grandmother, she brings both heart and experience to her role. Her goal is to continue building Little Sprouts into a thriving, fully enrolled center that families in Menomonie are excited and proud to be part of.
